Lauren Bacchus is a San Diego-based artist whose practice is driven by intuition and a space for visual meditation.
Her work is a journey into the subconscious, incorporating drawing, painting, and collage to invite the viewer into a space where the process is as important as the outcome. Through fluid, unplanned marks, layered textures, and spontaneous combinations of materials, she encourages the opportunity to pause, reflect, and connect with the present moment.
Raised in a Jewish Assyrian family in Southern California, her work explores the tension between cultural connection and the experience of living in the diaspora.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Purchase and is a current board member of the Escondido Arts Partnership.
